Project Overview
Gospel Library Lite
Led the design of Gospel Library Lite — a minimalist version of the Gospel Library app tailored for users in low-bandwidth environments. The goal was to maintain access to essential content while reducing the app’s data footprint and eliminating performance barriers.
By rethinking the information architecture, minimizing media-heavy features, and prioritizing offline accessibility, we created a lightweight experience that loads faster and works reliably with limited connectivity. This initiative focused on purposeful simplification, ensuring that gospel study could continue uninterrupted, regardless of network conditions.
Gospel Library Users
Who are they?
Gospel Library Lite is designed for individuals who face barriers to consistent access and performance with the standard app. This includes users in low-connectivity regions, such as rural or remote areas, as well as international members where mobile data is limited or expensive. It also serves those using older or low-storage devices that struggle with heavy applications, and missionaries or travelers who rely on offline access due to frequent movement or unpredictable internet availability.
Users in Low-Connectivity Regions
Individuals in rural, remote, or under-resourced areas with limited or inconsistent internet access who still seek regular access to scripture and study materials.
Users with Limited Device Storage or Older Devices
People using older smartphones with restricted storage capacity or slower processors that struggle to run full-featured apps smoothly.
International Church Members
Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints living outside North America, especially in areas with unreliable mobile data plans.
Missionaries and Travelers
Those frequently on the move or serving in areas where internet availability fluctuates, who require offline access to gospel content.
