Project Overview

Refined Search and Details

To scale design quality and efficiency across Delta’s digital platforms, I led the creation of a unified UX process and cross-functional design review ritual with product and engineering teams. This initiative fostered clearer communication, faster iteration cycles, and higher design fidelity throughout the product lifecycle.
In parallel, I refined the end-to-end search and detail screen experiences, two of the most frequented user flows. By addressing usability friction, improving content hierarchy, and streamlining the interaction model, we saw a measurable increase in task completion and user satisfaction across platforms.
This work established a scalable design foundation that continues to support product velocity, maintain design integrity, and improve user experience at every touchpoint.

Delta Users

Who are they?

Delta’s digital products serve a wide spectrum of travelers, each with distinct needs and behaviors. Frequent flyers—often business travelers or SkyMiles members—expect fast, personalized experiences to manage bookings, upgrades, and itineraries with minimal friction. Leisure travelers tend to be more price-sensitive and comparison-focused, prioritizing ease of navigation and clarity around fares, schedules, and baggage policies. A growing segment of mobile-first users relies heavily on the app for real-time updates, check-ins, boarding passes, and baggage tracking. Additionally, Delta’s global footprint means many users interact with the platform in multiple languages and time zones, making accessibility, localization, and intuitive design critical to the experience.

Frequent Flyers

Business travelers and loyal customers (often SkyMiles members or Medallion status holders) who rely on efficient booking, trip management, and upgrade tracking. Speed, personalization, and status transparency are critical for this group.

Leisure Travelers

Casual or infrequent flyers booking vacations or family trips. They seek ease of use, clear pricing, and flexible search options—often comparing options across airlines and dates.

Mobile-First Travelers

On-the-go users using the app to check in, get boarding passes, receive gate updates, or track luggage. Reliability, real-time updates, and seamless access are top priorities here.

International and Multilingual Users

Users navigating global travel often across time zones and languages. They need intuitive layouts, universal iconography, and strong localization support.
